Hey everyone,
I just wanted to drop a quick note about wireless access at church. We have a hotspot setup in the auditorium so that you can jump onto the internet and access this blog. While we’ve tested a number of different laptops and handheld devices (i.e. PDA, iPod Touch, etc) without a hitch, as with anything technical, problems can and will happen from time to time. If you have any problems I’d be happy to try to help you on this blog.
Just to recap what was in the Sunday program, here should be everything you need to connect:
Network Name (also called SSID): www.reallifechurch.net
Authentication name: elephant
Security type: WPA or WPA2 (AES)
So, if all of the above sounds like a bunch of mumbo-jumbo, don’t worry, typically most laptops or handhelds are setup to find new wireless networks. Just look in your list of networks and select the one named after our website (www.reallifechurch.net). Once you do that it will ask you for authentication, or a password, or something similar to that, enter in “elephant” and you should be all set. If you have trouble drop a comment here and I’ll try to help. Note: Some older laptops don’t WPA security, and may need a bit of a software upgrade before working with the wireless network. Typically you can find that out on the website of whomever manufacturered your PC.
Best,
John Vaughn
